OFFICIAL FIRST STONE CEREMONY FOR LA MAISON DU PEUPLE

Yesterday morning, Alain Ducasse officially inaugurated the start of restoration work on the emblematic Maison du Peuple, which from 2024 will be home to the Groupe Ducasse Paris factories, restaurants and offices, while remaining an emblematic place of life, culture and sharing for local residents.

In the presence of Valérie Pécresse, President of the Île-de-France Region, Laurent Roturier, Île-de-France Regional Director of Cultural Affairs, Rémi Muzeau, Mayor of Clichy-la-Garenne and Vice-President of the Hauts-de-Seine Department, and Perrot et Richard Architectes, this project, supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Ile-de-France Region, aims to restore this masterpiece of modernist architecture to its former glory.
"Through our architectural intervention carried out jointly with Perrot & Richard we have the privilege of creating a balance between past, present and future to enable this iconic venue to endure. Our intention is to preserve this heritage of innovative design, but also to build a new one. We aspire to make our intervention self-evident, highlighting the very essence of the Maison du Peuple and its history."  Patrick Jouin & Sanjit Manku
