Mayfair Park Residences

Managed by Dorchester Collection - Londres
In the heart of London’s most prestigious district, with views of Hyde Park, Jouin Manku studio has designed the exclusive, luxurious and contemporary interiors of ‘Mayfair Park Residences’. Developed by Clivedale London, the scheme is home to 24 residences made up of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments with the addition of an 8 bedroom Penthouse with a rooftop pool. All residences have access to a spa & gym, to create a place of well being that takes the comforts of home to a new level. The design reflects the project’s cross-cultural beginnings, whilst creating a strong sense of place - historical references of English heritage are blended with exquisitely considered, custom interior architecture–such as stone fireplaces, joinery and bathrooms – to create sumptuous interior spaces that are organic, elegant and evocative. The sculpted rooms and spaces are classical in spirit, yet always modern.

Lobby

Jouin Manku drew on historical references, blending them with custom-designed features to create sumptuous interior spaces that are organic, elegant and evocative. The sense of place was very important as was drawing on English heritage. The designers took as inspiration some quintessentially British themes and motifs, such as leaves, rain and fog which they incorporated into the stunning lobby.

APARTMENT

The designers also noted the significance of fireplaces in British homes. There are sculpted fireplaces made out of big solid stone pieces; simple, refined and classic that form the centre piece of each residence. The Mayfair Park Residences are a refined mix of apartments that are comfortable, sophisticated and inviting, with bold communal areas – a marriage of restraint and enthusiasm, two very British characteristics. “Inside, we played with the same kinds of contrasts between the traditional and the contemporary,” explain Jouin Manku studio.

It was vital to the designers that they create somewhere that felt like home. They achieved this through the use of exquisitely considered, custom elements for which the design studio is renowned.  They drew on their own notion of luxury developed on other projects and created bespoke items including fireplaces, bathroom suites, dressings room , furniture, glass walls and chandeliers specifically designed for each residence.

Spa

Jouin Manku was also responsible for the design of the the Spa and the pool, which are situated in the building’s basement. The designers’ priority here was to make these ancillary spaces feel like an extension of the apartments: a refuge, a place to relax and take a break from everything else. Colourful and exotic motifs inspired by India were interpreted and converted into mosaic tiles with inlaid glass. Inside which is a glimmering contemporary pool with a mirrored effect above so the pool itself becomes a gigantic lantern flooding the basement space with light. The water appears magnetic and becomes a shining inset jewel within the flowers that surround it.  Again, original bespoke features help the area to feel like a personal haven; a contemporary wooden cabin with a fireplace in the middle provides the perfect setting to relax after swimming,  read a book or to have a break, providing an extension of one’s private space.
